PROFESSIONAL MOLD INSPECTION INSTITUTE
Mold Inspector / Mold Remediator Training and Certification

Washington, DC licenses mold assessors and remediators, and the requirements are set by the Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE) under the Mold Assessment and Remediation Licensure Regulations (20 DCMR Chapter 32). This places DC among the more tightly regulated jurisdictions—closer to Texas and Florida than to most states.

Eligibility Requirements Applicants must be at least 18 and meet one of the following pathways:
A two-year associate degree (or equivalent) with at least 30 semester hours in microbiology, engineering, architecture, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, or a related science plus one year of documented field experience.

OR hold a recognized professional credential such as Certified Industrial Hygienist, Professional Engineer, Registered Sanitarian, Certified Safety Professional, or Registered Architect, with at least six months of relevant experience.

Examination Requirement Applicants must pass a DOEE-approved examination within the previous two years. Approved exams include those administered by the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC).

I can't say enough about your mold course! I had never taken an online course before but yours truly was a pleasure! Everything was THERE, right down to the mold inspection report forms! I also appreciate your quick responses to my questions. The course was an incredible value and I have to say I've found that 'mold IS gold.' When you offer a mold inspection, your clients jump on it nearly every time. More Reviews
